Classic Stone Composite Decking Replacement in Wilmslow
The homeowners contacted DecKing after being left with a poorly installed composite deck that did not meet an acceptable construction or finishing standard.
Rather than attempting temporary repairs to an installation with deeper underlying problems, we removed the existing deck and rebuilt the entire outdoor area correctly from the ground up.
The Challenge
The existing composite decking had been installed by another company, but problems with its construction and finish meant the homeowners could not rely on it as a safe, durable or professionally completed outdoor space.
The faults were not limited to individual boards or finishing details. Correcting the installation required the existing deck and supporting structure to be dismantled so that the project could be properly reconstructed from the beginning.
The new design also needed to retain the established tree and planting within the garden.
The DecKing Solution
DecKing dismantled and removed the failed decking installation before constructing a completely new subframe and composite deck.
Classic Composite Decking in Stone was installed across the main surface. Matching Stone bullnose edging was fitted around the exposed perimeter to create a clean and consistent finish.
The boards were installed using 3mm hidden fastener clips, maintaining the correct spacing between boards without visible surface screws.
A large floor-height planter was incorporated into the deck around the established tree, allowing it to remain part of the garden while giving the completed installation a distinctive bespoke feature.
The Result
The homeowners now have the professionally constructed composite deck they should have received the first time.
The complete rebuild created a strong, clean and usable outdoor living space with correctly aligned boards, consistent spacing and carefully finished edges. The integrated planter retains the established planting and gives the deck a natural connection with the surrounding garden.
