Stone & Ash Composite Decking in Penketh, Warrington
This bespoke composite decking installation on Tannery Lane in Penketh transformed an underused part of the garden into a clean, practical and low-maintenance outdoor seating area. Classic Stone decking was combined with lighter Ash finishing details to create a distinctive two-tone design.
The Challenge
The customer wanted to create a defined outdoor area for seating and relaxing while making better use of an awkward section at the end of the garden.
The new deck needed to fit neatly alongside the existing timber screening, established planting and garden structures without overwhelming the available space.
The DecKing Solution
DecKing constructed a bespoke raised subframe designed around the existing garden layout before installing Classic Composite Decking in Stone.
Contrasting Classic Ash bullnose edging and fascia boards were fitted around the deck, clearly defining its shape and creating a lighter border around the Stone surface.
A wide entrance step was incorporated across the front of the deck, providing comfortable access from the surrounding garden.
The Result
The previously underused area has become a smart and practical outdoor seating space that sits naturally within the established garden.
The combination of Stone decking and Ash finishing details creates a clean two-tone appearance, while the composite surface provides a durable outdoor area requiring no sanding, staining or painting.
