The Brief

The customer wanted a raised outdoor living space that felt warm, premium and properly finished.

The brief was to create a decked area that improved the use of the garden, provided a comfortable space for relaxing and entertaining, and included a balustrade to frame the raised section safely and attractively.

The finished space needed to feel:

  • warm and natural

  • premium and well designed

  • safe and properly framed

  • suitable for a raised deck layout

  • low-maintenance

  • weather-resistant

  • comfortable for everyday outdoor living

  • appropriate for a high-end Hale property

The customer wanted the look and warmth of timber, but with the long-term performance and easier maintenance of DecKing’s flagship composite range.

The Proposal

DecKing proposed the Signature Collection in Teak, using raised composite decking with a matching Signature balustrade to create a complete, coordinated outdoor living space.

Teak was chosen because it gives the project a rich, natural and premium timber-inspired appearance. It is one of the warmest finishes in the Signature Collection and works especially well where customers want the outdoor space to feel inviting, established and high-end.

Because this was a raised deck, the balustrade was an important part of the proposal. It helped frame the space, improve safety and make the finished installation feel more like an outdoor room than a simple platform.

Key product benefits included:

  • Teak Signature composite decking

  • matching Signature balustrade

  • raised outdoor living design

  • authentic timber-inspired appearance

  • hard-wearing capped composite construction

  • hidden fixing system for a cleaner deck surface

  • low-maintenance outdoor performance

  • no regular painting, oiling, staining or sealing

  • improved resistance to rot, splitting and warping compared with timber

  • 25-year Signature warranty

The proposal was not just to build a raised deck. It was to create a premium, framed outdoor living area with a warm Signature finish and a long-lasting low-maintenance surface.

The Result

The finished installation created a warm, raised outdoor living space with a premium, fully framed appearance.

The Teak Signature decking gave the area a natural timber-inspired surface, while the matching balustrade completed the raised section and helped the whole project feel balanced, safe and properly designed.

The space now feels more usable, more connected and more finished, giving the customer a high-end outdoor area for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying the garden.

The result is a strong example of how the DecKing Signature Collection can be used to create raised decking projects that combine luxury appearance, practical design and long-term product confidence.
